How it works

Here’s a breakdown of how the planning process works. This is quite specific to weddings and celebrations – funerals work a little differently and have a shorter timescale.

d

your enquiry

After our initial telephone conversation, and I have checked the diary to make sure I am free, I will arrange to meet with you. This can be done in person, via Teams or by telephone.

e

resources

Once I have received your deposit to secure the date, your appointment will be confirmed via email, along with my terms and conditions, and an information pack with lots of ideas about what you can include in your ceremony.

a

Our meeting

At our meeting we will get to know each other and I will find out all about you and your wishes for the ceremony. I can also offer lots of ideas where needed. This meeting is a great chance to get all our thoughts and ideas down on paper, and it's a lot of fun!

d

The Writing

Following our meeting, I will prepare the first draft of your ceremony which will be sent via email. We can then talk it through and you can amend, add to or adjust your ceremony as many times as you like, I am a perfectionist, so if you are not happy then neither am I.

Rehearsal

Before your ceremony, I would recommend a rehearsal. This does not have to be at your venue, but it is useful to have key people there so everyone knows what they are doing on the day.

a

Your Ceremony

On the day of your ceremony, I will be there in good time (2 hours before for weddings and 1 hour for other ceremonies) to make sure that everything is in place. I also have my own battery-operated PA system, so if you are holding your ceremony in a remote location or outdoors in a field, everyone will still be able to hear. I never book more that one ceremony a day, so if there was a delay (it does happen) you do not need to worry that I am only booked until a certain time. As soon as you are ready, we'll get started and I will deliver your ceremony with confidence and love - making sure it's just perfect for you.

a

Time to Celebrate

After your ceremony I will present you with a souvenir copy of your ceremony and certificate as a keepsake. I will then say goodbye to you and leave you to enjoy the rest of the day.
